Q: Please describe your prior Gotham volunteer and/or leadership experience, if any.

A: I have been a Power Representative since Spring 2015, way back when I began in Power F (yes, that was a thing). You see me at practically every tryout checking you in or in the tryout gym trying to keep things orderly and the mood light.

Q: Why are you interested in a Gotham Leadership position?

A: Power has been a part of my Gotham experience since the moment I join the league. I credit Power and its coaches for the development and successes I’ve had as a volleyball player, joining Gotham with extremely limited experience. I believe Power is an integral part of Gotham and my hope is that I can help make this program even bigger and better.

Q: What qualities would you bring as a Gotham Leader and, in particular, the position you are running for?

A: My close attention to detail has helped Gotham on a couple of occasions. In one instance, I noticed that some programming fell on a day we didn’t have a permit for. We avoided a situation where 2 programs would have gone to a school that was closed and instead Gotham found a solution where programming didn’t have to be cancelled. As your Power Representative, I will be your cheerleader on and off the court. During class, I will be there to help you, and hopefully my intensity will motivate you to work to your potential.

Q: What do you wish to accomplish if elected?

A: One thing I would like to accomplish this season is to foster a closer relationship with volunteer coaches and Power. Since I’m a volunteer coach for a Division 8 team and a Power member, I try to bring the knowledge I’ve learned in Power to a new group of enthusiastic players. Power coaches have a wealth of information that I think would be invaluable to volunteer coaches and may provide more consistent instruction to beginning and novice players.
