Gotham Candidate Forum: Power D

Players in Power D will be voting from October 6, 2019 through 5 PM on October 9, 2019 to elect a new Power Class Representative to the Training Leadership Group. If you play in Power D and have and do not receive a ballot after 1 PM on October 6, please e-mail [email protected]

Below, please find the candidate profile of the candidates for Power D Representative:  Andrew Dowdye and Lee Aroyo

Andrew Dowdye

Andrew has participated in Gotham Volleyball for more than four years.

Q: Please describe your prior Gotham volunteer and/or leadership experience, if any.

A: I am currently division rep for 7, power rep for E. Im also in Activities & Outreach Committee and Tournaments and Open Play Group

Q: Why are you interested in a Gotham Leadership position?

A: I’m interested in the position because I want to continue being a voice for our members.

Q: What qualities would you bring as a Gotham Leader and, in particular, the position you are running for?

A:I’m detail oriented, easy going, and punctual.

Q: What do you wish to accomplish if elected?

A: Just continue what I’ve been doing.

Lee Aroyo

Lee has participated in Gotham Volleyball for more than two years.

Q: Please describe your prior Gotham volunteer and/or leadership experience, if any.

A:None yet but excited to do more!

Q: Why are you interested in a Gotham Leadership position?

A:I want to take a more active role in making Gotham Power as enjoyable an experience as possible.

Q: What qualities would you bring as a Gotham Leader and, in particular, the position you are running for?

A:Engaging, Approachable, Creative, and a student of the game

Q: What do you wish to accomplish if elected?

A:Provide coaches with proactive notes on attendance; get frequent feedback and input from the participants and coaches and liaise between the groups to make things even better.
