Eric Knee–Once more, with feeling?

Quint Mediate–I moved to NYC on the heels of the pandemic during a very isolating time, and I found a social home in Gotham. As a captain I bring organization, camaraderie, and inclusion to my team. I hope to balance welcoming new people to the league while strengthening the existing community within the division. I owe a lot to Gotham, and I hope to give that back as one of your captains next season. I had a blast captaining this past season, and I’d love to do it again next spring 🙂

Collin Phillips–I am very excited to hopefully captain my first season in division 7. I do have 2 gold medal seasons under belt. Tran said I have to run but I promise I really do want to foster an amazing team to potentially pull out a great season. Pick me and we’ll have a gay ole time.

-
Fran Gonzalez–Y’all better be McReady for a Big sMac.
-
-
Johjoh Demol Jenae–I have served as a team captain in three seasons already and I felt that my experience is more than enough to vouch this nomination.

Blake Hartle–As captain, I want to promote welcomeness and sportsmanship. I want to be a leader who asks the nervous new player to the division if they would like to pepper before open play or join a larger group for dinner after a game. I will have succeeded if my teammates end the season feeling like they have new friends that will last beyond this season, improved their skills as a player, and most importantly had fun and lots of laughs along the way.

Andre’ Siccion–Let’s have a fun season, win games and party afters °˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖°♡

Sothdra Nguon-Devereaux–Hi friends, Sothdra here. I’m running for captain again! Same spiel as usual: I usually pick a competitive team, I do plenty for the division (recruit, host events, defend, encourage, taking your canned food). I also consider myself a decent player, so you know you’ve got a usable setter from the get-go. xx

Jeremy Chapa–The Gotham volleyball community is a platform for fostering connections, building friendships, and having fun. My goal as a captain would be to create a safe space for players each week where they can find joy in the game and a sense of belonging within our community. I envision a supportive space where every member feels not only the thrill of competition but also the warmth of camaraderie. I have 3 years of experience captaining competitive-level volleyball teams in a different LGBTQ organization. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I understand the importance of having spaces where we can be ourselves without judgment. I am dedicated to ensuring that our league remains a safe and welcoming space for everyone, where individuality is celebrated and mutual respect is non-negotiable.

Eduardo Perez-Torres–Hey! I’m coming up on two years in D7 now, including one season as captain of the Shakillas. Playing with D7 has been a great combination of good vibes while also being ruthlessly competitive, which is a tricky balance, but it works, and I love it. I think (and hope you’ll agree) that I’ve contributed to that balance as a captain and as a player in the division and OPs I’ve played. I’m really looking forward to contributing to it again for another season, both for my team and for the division as a whole. Muax! 😘
