Grievance Committee

Grievance Committee

The Gotham Volleyball Grievance Committee is charged with resolving grievances filed by members on almost every topic except for disputes about in-game calls by referees. The Committee is frequently called on to decide procedural grievances (such as complaints alleging that the league is taking action that is unfair or violates the rules and bylaws of Gotham), or determine the guilt of members accused of violating Gotham’s policies concerning conduct and sportsmanship and, if so, determine a proper sanction. The Committee also makes recommendations to the Board about exceptions to the League’s policy that dues are non-refundable. The Grievance Committee members are members of Gotham who have shown the ability to be fair, open minded and provide a thoughtful resolution to the issues they are asked to resolve.
