Gotham Candidate Forum: Division 5
Players in Division 5 will be voting from May 7th, 2025, through 11:59 PM on May 11th, 2025, to elect captains for the Fall 2025 Division Play Season as well as Team All Stars for the Spring 2025 Division Play Season. If you play in Division 5 and have not received a ballot after 2 PM on May 7th, please e-mail [email protected].

- Stephen Self–Playing in Gotham over these past few years has been an incredible source of joy and meaning in my life. It would be a great privilege to now step into a leadership role as captain, both to challenge myself and to give back to this talented and fabulous community. Let’s further improve our skills as players, have plenty of fun with old friends and new, and make Fall 2025 our best season yet!

- Erik Heitz–Grateful 3rd season back in D5–the best for LGBTQ+ culture and high-level competition. I’ve served on various committees; I’m grateful for our volunteers–captains included, who keep this engine moving. With my first D3 Captainship: I felt the support/love in our drafting– veteran captains were helpful and thoughtful in their guidance and I am sure D5 is the same. As captain, I draft positive players with skills (volleyball and social) who believe in Gotham’s mission. Loved playing and hanging with this D5 crew of present and hope to help shape it’s future. Thanks for consideration!

- Roland Wuu–I’ve been a captain for three seasons now and would love to continue fostering D5’s reputation for fun and competitive volleyball!

- Ethan Borger–Take two! Loved my team and learned lots from my first season. Hope to come back with even more fun, energy, and mystery(?)!

- Calvin He–Gotham has been a great community of friendly people that welcomes me and shares the same passion for volleyball as me. I want to give back to this community by taking a captain role to continue a welcoming and competitive volleyball environment for D5.

- Mateusz Wysocki–I loved being a captain in the past and I’m excited to do it again!

- Connor Carmichael–I would love to serve as captain again so I can continue to keep D5 competitive, friendly, and fun!

- Connor Howlett–I’m back back back again 🤗 Would be honored to be a D5 captain once more!

- Ed Panergo–As a returning captain, I want to bring a fun vibe where we can have fun playing volleyball and strengthen our community.

- Noah Gannon–I had a great time captaining this season and would love to do it again! Hopefully I won’t break anything this time 🙂

- Keishi Takata–It’s simple. Them or me. And I’m sure they will do a great job. But D5, I love you. in a really, really big pretend to laugh at your jokes, eat grand schezuan, pass out at gym bar kinda way. So pick me, Choose me, Love me.

- Bradley Click–I once had to judge a tighty-whitey contest for Lambda Kappa Pi. Trust me, I can handle anything—even a third season as captain!

- Joe Eletto–I’d love to get back into leadership within D5 this fall!

- Julia Teta–I’ve been a bit disconnected from Gotham for the last two seasons with other life endeavors and would like to reengage as fully as possible! It’s a fun way to apply my knowledge of the sport and learn more.
