Kendall VanAmburg–Hi Sisters! This season I’ve had such an amazing time being captain of the Super Mario Spikers, and I would LOVE to keep the good vibes goin’ baby! It’s been incredibly rewarding to see the growth in all of my teammates, my fellow D11 players, and in myself! Captains are more than just leaders on the court, but also representatives of Gotham, and I appreciate all of the responsibility that comes along with that. I’m so thankful for what this community has been to me for the past nine months and I’m even more excited for the future!

Joe Ng –The first thing I did when I moved to NYC last year was joining Gotham, and it was probably one of the best decisions that I’ve ever made. I have met so many great people and had so many great memories. I’m interested in serving as a captain because I wanted to give back to the community by creating a fun, friendly, social, and somewhat competitive environment for everyone. Can I do emojis here ? Let’s test it out 🥲😫😘😤🤬

Marco Pretell-Vazquez–Hello! I’m Marco, and I’m delighted to run for team captain again this year. This spring, I had the privilege of leading the Disco Diablitos 🪩🕺😈 to a gold medal 🥇 in an exhilarating season. As your captain, I promise to foster a culture of leadership, respect, and teamwork. I believe that a successful team is built on a foundation where every player feels supported and valued. Paul Rosenberg–Having been a captain this past season was the best experience in Gotham I have had yet and I would be elated to have the chance to be a captain again this fall. Observing not only my team grow and improve, but other teams as well has given me such pride and love for this community. As a captain I always focus on passing those good vibes on to my team, and winning of course! Anyways, vote for me.

Let’s see, there’s camaraderie, impressive skills, strong coaching, respectful competitiveness, team spirit, great friendships, fun social outings, and high ceilings. Oh, yeah, and don’t forget the brunches! I’ve been privileged and thrilled to play in D11 for two seasons now and I would be humbled to serve as a D11 captain. Julian Burger–Hi, I am Julian and I am so excited to run for captain! When I first arrived in NYC, Gotham was truly fundamental in finding a community. I met so many fantastic people who became such an important part of my life here. In this upcoming season, I want to give back and would love to do so as captain. As captain, I will strive to create a team that is supportive and fun. It is most important to me that everyone has a great time, and experiences the same sense of community that I did when I started.

David Pan–I have made so many amazing friends since I joined Gotham a few years ago and I want to make more great memories next season with a team of my own! I’d like to build an inclusive team in which everyone feels welcome. Living thousands of miles away from my family is hard but my volleyball friends have made it so much easier. That is the kind of community I’d like my future teammates to have. I love winning but what matters to me even more is the friendship that could last a lifetime!
