Gotham Candidate Forum: Power A

Players in Power A will be voting from September 30, 2018 through 5 PM on October 3, 2018 to elect a new Power Class Representative to the Training Leadership Group. If you play in Power A and have and do not receive a ballot after 1 PM on September 30, please e-mail [email protected]

Below, please find the candidate profile of the candidates for Power A Representative:  Zachary Vojt and Drew Helmus.

Zachary Vogt

Zachary has participated in Gotham for more than 5 years.

Q: Please describe your prior Gotham volunteer and/or leadership experience, if any.

A: I have coached teams in both Division 5 and Division 7. I have also captained and coached teams/players within NAGVA tournaments.

Q: Why are you interested in a Gotham Leadership position?

A: I am a leader in various different aspects of my life outside of volleyball and I would like to bring all of that knowledge to leadership within Gotham.

Q: What qualities would you bring as a Gotham Leader and, in particular, the position you are running for?

A: I am highly skilled at organization, communication and leadership roles. I am approachable and effect at answering questions as well as finding out answers as needed.

Q: What do you wish to accomplish if elected?

A: Effective communication, representation and promotion of the goals and expectations of Power class coaches and players.

Drew Helmus

Drew has participated in Gotham for more than 5 years.

Q: Please describe your prior Gotham volunteer and/or leadership experience, if any.

A: I’ve volunteered with the Drag Tournament helping with the photo booth (excited to bring it back for a 2nd year). Power A Rep would be my first leadership experience with Gotham, and I would be honored to be elected a Power representative.

Q: Why are you interested in a Gotham Leadership position?

A: Because I have enjoyed Gotham programs over the years and see what a valuable community resource it is, I want to give back to the organization to further support and help Gotham grow.

Q: What qualities would you bring as a Gotham Leader and, in particular, the position you are running for?

A: I’m a consistent, dependable team player.

Q: What do you wish to accomplish if elected?

A: If elected, I would help ensure the program runs smoothly and fellow classmates are able to get the most out of the Power Program through a conducive, fun learning environment as well as helping classmates connect to other Gotham activities.
