What Is PowerPlay?

We are excited to let you know about a great program we offer for those new to the sport of volleyball called PowerPlay!  It is a Gotham division just for beginners that includes volleyball coaching from our Power coaches/Gotham leaders to help you learn the fundamentals of the game.  PowerPlay is an introduction to volleyball & acts as a precursor for further advancement in individual Power & Division (league) play.

Class Expectations

PowerPlay acts as a hybrid program between Power class & Division (league) play.  Each class takes place on Sunday afternoons from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM.  The season begins with 2 weeks of Orientation classes (where your coaches will teach fundamentals of volleyball), followed by a 5-week session Season & ending with an End-of-Season Tournament.  Practice will include volleyball fundamentals, skills improvement & warm-up drills.  League matches are at either 3:00 PM or 4:00 PM & all teams will play & ref.  We’ll also help introduce you to the other parts of Gotham traditions, social & community activities.

How Do I Join Power Play?

PowerPlay registration will open to the first 60 players to sign up and pay as soon as registration opens. There is no tryout for PowerPlay. The cost for the seven week season is $180.
