NEW LOCATION: Fire Island Pines (beach east of Sail Walk and Fire Island Blvd)

Rain: Play will still occur in drizzle or light rain. Only major, all day rain/showers will force a postponement until Sunday, July 21.

Check-In: Location will be communicated where captains can check-in and pick up their giveaways.

Registration Process: Log into Gothamvolleyball.org, then all the way at the top click on Tournaments. It will then show a link to start the registration process. Please note that you are not considered fully registered until you have paid. You will need to add every player to your roster.  Players must create an account and accept Gotham’s waiver to be available for roster and play.

To reserve a spot in the tournament, you must register AND pay.  Registering only or paying only will not guarantee a spot in the tournament. Additionally, spots in the tournament are assigned based on the payment date.  

Pre-Registration Information:

  • Your Roster: When you register you’ll need to add all of your teammates to your roster. You can use their name or Gotham email address to find them in the directory.
  • Designate a player for Friday Net Set-Up: This year the registration form will ask you to designate one player from your team to be responsible for helping with net setup on Friday evening. The more hands we have assisting the faster we’ll be able to get the nets set up. You will not be able to complete the registration without completing this step. Teams that are unable to pitch in with net set up will be given an alternate assignment from the tournament directors.
  • This year captains will be required to pay for their team at registration in order to secure their spot. The cost is $50 per player.

2019 Eligibility Requirements:

There are seven total divisions this summer with limited spots for teams. Please know that the eligibility structure has been modified to account for the growing interest and the addition of new divisions in Gotham. To learn more about the spots and eligibility see below:

Format:

Round-robin style. All games timed throughout the day. If time allows we will then have a single elimination tournament following round robin play. Otherwise, the top two teams in each division will play for the championship.

Registration Fees:

$50 per player

NOTE: Due to limited resources (nets, beach space, and volunteers) some or all divisions will most likely fill up early. Registration requests will be honored on a first-come, first-served basis based on the payment date. This tournament is capped at 48 teams and will be filled on a first come first serve basis. Your team is not confirmed until it is listed on the Confirmed Teams page.

Submitting Payment:

Payment for the Fire Island tournament will be accepted through PayPal only.

Please note that your team is not registered for the tournament until you have paid.  Tournament spots will be filled based on when payment is received.  The tournament will fill up quickly, so pay as soon as possible.

Please submit the full amount for all members of your team. PLEASE INCLUDE THE TEAM NAME AND DIVISION in the “Team Name” field of the PayPal form.
